The Prayer of Saint Francis — Still so relevant.

Orlando, Florida is typically associated with fun, laughter, family, theme parks, love… It’s incredible how all of that can be contradicted in one night. On June 12th, America faced a terrible tragedy, now known as one of the deadliest mass shootings in U.S. history. It truly brings into perspective how fragile life can be; how one person can affect so many others.

In times like these, we have to pray more than ever for the families whose lives have changed and for everyone’s safety. We should pray for peace in our world, and stand bravely, knowing we are in God’s hands.

“Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” – John 14:27

The Prayer of Saint Francis so perfectly captures our heart’s desire for peace. We hope that you are encouraged by this prayer.

The Prayer of Saint Francis

Lord, make me an instrument of Your peace.
Where there is hatred, let me sow love;
where there is injury, pardon;
where there is doubt, faith;
where there is despair, hope;
where there is darkness, light;
where there is sadness, joy.

O, Divine Master, grant that I may not so much
seek to be consoled as to console;
to be understood as to understand;
to be loved as to love;
For it is in giving that we receive;
it is in pardoning that we are pardoned;
it is in dying that we are born again to eternal life.
