Whether you grew up in a dream family with a superhero dad, or in the most tragic family situation with an absent or even abusive dad, or maybe somewhere in between… Our Heavenly Father looks on you with a perfect, incomparable love as His deeply treasured child.

“Let them give thanks to the Lord for his unfailing love and his wonderful deeds for mankind, for he satisfies the thirsty and fills the hungry with good things.” -Psalm 107:8-9

As tragedy strikes around the world, the enemy quickly works in our minds to deceive us about the truth of God’s goodness when everything around us seems bad. But, we’ve already been warned to “fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.” (2 Cor. 4:18)

When our hearts are heavy with confusion, let us turn to the Word of God and be reminded of the trust we can have in our perfect Father. John 16:33 says we are guaranteed to have trouble in this world… But we are promised that our mighty, good God has already overcome it! 

As the earth gives way, may the children of God rest confidently in this truth…
