“Why do you look for the living among the dead? He is not here; he has risen!” – Luke 24:5-6

Three days later, and Jesus defied the forces of death itself! Proving His deity and reigning in victory, He defeated death once and for all! In the mystery and wonder of our God, He surprises us yet again with His power in Jesus fulfilling prophecy and rising from the dead on the third day. This is good news for us indeed!

A few humble women going to visit Jesus’ grave arrived that day only to find an empty tomb and an angel of the Lord appearing to do some explaining. After they understood what happened, they immediately went to tell the others. What an amazing example they set for us! 

The resurrection of Jesus is the best news we could ever receive. But the story does not end with us! We are left on this earth with the help of the Holy Spirit in us to spread the great joy of salvation through Jesus Christ to all people of all nations. 

As Christ-followers who have received this wonderful gift, we must go out now and share it with all who will listen. In doing so, we extend the grace we have been given to others who desperately need it and can go away worshipping and telling others just the same… He has risen, He has risen indeed!
